Caught 40 fish in about 2 1/2 hours early this afternoon. Eight were legal hybrids and also had 4 pull-offs. The percent of keeper whites has increased - outnumbering the short hybrids and yellow bass about 2 to 1. Found surfacing fish mid-lake in 20 to 30 fow. Polar, Fastguy and Snaggin Steve were out there as well. Maybe they can add their results.

I actually heard the word "Mepps" come out of George's mouth!

Re water clarity: From Merimac Point south it is pretty clear. Haven't been north of that in several days.

I am going to be at CC this weekend to see the MIL hoping to fish some with Polar (the real reason for the trip grin)

Dennis; We fished the general vicinity of where we saw you last for a bit catching mostly sandbass with ALOT of small hybrids mixed in. I sure hope folks are looking close to differentiate between them and throw the hybrids back. We caught a few legals too. Not sure how many we caught....I get so excited I lose count.

I heard George say the word Mepps too. I'm sure he went home and washed his mouth out with soap and apologized to the thousands of sassy shad in his tackle box.

Jim; I look forward to seeing you this weekend. Hopefully the weather holds up for us.

Sounds like fun. Thanks for sharing the fishing stories. A lot of us are at work during the week and are waiting to live vicariously through others.

We caught a lot of small hybrids last weekend. Those hybrids don't seem too interested in getting in the boat.

Who were you guys that invaded our fishing location all 3 of you in Center Consoles today at around 5 pm and then took off to Spillway. I was in the Ranger bass boat with the UT cap on. Invaded might not be the right word here, no harm no foul!!! What a great day of fishing!!!!!
