 Caught This on Ultra Light Fishing for Bluegill!

Caught this Carp while fishing for Bluegill on the Guadalupe River. I was jigging a small piece of worm next to a dock when it hit. The fight was on the fish pealed drag for about 30 seconds. After a GREAT five minute fight the fish was landed. Approx weight was 5 Lbs. Fish was released! That was one SUPER fight.

Thanks "Curt0407" for the reply!  I have caught others that were smaller and the fight was also fantastic. The biggest one I had fought but it got off at the end was a good 12 to 15 pound fish. I was fishing a creek. It got off when I tried to take it to shallower water to land it.  Side Note: Fought that fish for about 30 minutes.

Looks like the carp guys would have some competition if you targeted carp the way you do them gills  nice carp wtg banker!

Thanks guys for the replies. Like the Carp anglers have always said. "Those fish can fight"! "Gar1970" I have seen a lot of these Carp Anglers Catches.  I could only dream of catching fish like they do!  Those guys can catch MONSTERS!

Love that gold color! Would have loved to have seen the fight. Nice fish! Side Note: Have you ever caught em using corn? I may try to catch one this year. It would be my first! Would love to get one on the fly.
