With all this rain, Rowlett Creek has been good. The general rule is to wait a couple of days after a rain. Wear some football or baseball cleats and take some rope with you (those banks are slippery) There is a good thread on the creek in the bank section. White Rock Lake is still good this time of year--lots of previous posts on WRL, but behind the Arboretum is a good area to pitch a trigged or drag crigged plastic craw (pumpkin seed, brownish red, and black and blue are good this time of year). White and chartreuse spinner baits will work well in the creek and WRL also.

Rowlett Creek is fishing good enough to wear cleats and repel down slick banks?

Sections of Rowlett Creek (Miller Rd and Rowlett Rd for example) are easier to fish from the bank than others, but cleats and rope are a general recommendation for any creek fishing this time of year. The OP asked about Rowlett Creek last month.
