Hey guys I'm curious if anyone has ever fished the little pond on the East side of HWY377 just north of Basswood/Hightower in Watauga? I drive by it on my way to work and it looks pretty decent and I've never really seen many people fishing it. I'm curious if it has any carp or cats in it, my kids have a blast reeling it carp and catfish and I figured I'd take try it out one day. Seems like it ought to have some carp in it but I was just curious if anyone had been here before and seen any signs.

I've been there once or twice. I was going to bass fish and only caught one being on my first cast. I Wasn't paying much attention to see if there were any cats or carp, but might as well give it a shot.

Yeah its only a mile or two from the house. If it isn't storming tonight I may take a flashlight over there and walk the banks just to see if I can see any.

did you go down there? did you have any luck? i live not far from there thinking about checking it out this week...
