You won't find many folks with bad things to say about the Champion hulls.

I've got an opportunity to trade my super-clean 1997 Triton TR-17 pretty much dead even for a clean 1997 Champ 191. Can't decide, because the Triton was my dad's boat and he bought it new so it's got a lot of sentimental value to me.

The 203 is one of their best boats. A little tippy but rides great.

OK, let's talk. I have had 2 of them. Last one was a 2000 model 25th anniversary w/ a Yamaha OX66 225. And my current one is a 2008 "Limited Edition" w/ a Yamaha HPDI 250. Whatcha want to talk about?

the 203 is one of champions funnest ones to drive. and fairly fast given
the weight and hull design.
setup is the key to it's performance. as are most boats!

I had a Champ 206 and got a 203 last year. I heard all the "tippy" comments but it is just as stable as any bass boat I have owned and the hull handles better than any I have had. I have a 250 Merc on her. It was a 2004 with only 160 hours, new HDS8 and looks and runs like a new boat. $19000 so no boat payments. I like it a lot.

Patriot...I used to have a 97' Champion 191. Since then I have owned a 2006 Legend LE21, a 2000 Champion 223. My current boat is a 2009 Champion 210 Elite. I have been in Tritons, Skeeters, Rangers of all sizes but my favorite is still the 97' Champion 191. Out rides them all, very quick and nimble with the 200 Mariner.

Well, I bought one. It is a 2009 203 with 250 Pro XS and lots of extras... Very clean and runs like a beast. So far so good!
I came out of 2005 Triton TR21. Totally different boats, but I am liking this one alot..!

Nice! I am taking mine up to Lake Powell this Thursday. Lake is 188 miles long with 2500 miles of shoreline. Going to find out how much of a gas hog that 250 is. What prop do you have on your 203? Good luck with her.
