How many old farts out there remember the old Honeyhole Magazine? IMO this was the best bass fishing magazine published....especially for Texas....the monthly fishing reports on regional lakes and the results of Honeyhole's bass tournaments were priceless......sure wish I had saved all of my issues......

I do for sure....gleaned some of the best information and learning I ever got out of that magazine. I wish some one would revive it or at least that format.

The Honey Hole magazine was an excellent publication I learned a lot from it.
I still don't consider myself an "old Fart", my wife hates that term.
However, I remember when a Cordell Red Fin was not called a jerk bait, fishing a Herb's Dilly all day with a 3 to 1 Garcia 5000 produced a sore wrist everytime, and my choice of worms was either a Crme 7" black worm or a Crme 7" purple worm.
I fished out of a Side Winder with a 50 hp Johnson.
Those were the days!
Maybe someone can reproduce those articles.

Three teenage boys keep me young but I recall HH well!
Was friends with several of the guys that contributed. Gerald Roebuck (RIP), Floyd Yarborough, John Hope, Dennis Canada, Dreabon & Hollis Joiner, Dennis States, and a few others.

I remember. Fished in a bass club that fished in the HoneyHole Top 6. Was lots of fun. Really looked forward to the magazine. Really liked the floating lizards Jerry Dean used to sell too. Trying to remember the brand name. Still got a few in my old tackle. Gonna get them out and use them by next moon.

Yup flip tail lizard. Along with bassmaster, was one of the first magazine subscriptions i got when i was a kid. Always enjoyed David Wharton's (rip) report for rayburn. That guy could sure catch them!

I remember him fishing Riverside Lizards, as well......still have some.....about 20 yrs old....
