 Ernest crappie fishing the docks

Well----Ernest decided to do some crappie fishing on the docks yesterday at Lewisville.
He threw a jig towards the bank, and then it was on!
I'm talking a 10 pound bass.
Pete had to run get the net.
Too late!
But all three of us got to see the monster as Ernie got it to the dock's edge three times.
Alas----it pulled off before we could net it.
My guess is it straightened the small crappie hook.
I left as it started to rain---but Ernie was still throwing his jig towards the bank.
The crappie have still not migrated to the brushed slips.
Maybe they will.
Fun morning.

Great story but I know for a fact he does not like the name Ernie.
