The Angelo State bass club takes a trip after finals to fish for a couple of days. Just a fun way to end the semester. We are trying to figure out where to go.
What lake would you pick to fish right now? What is the hottest lake in Texas?

Athens for numbers and Fork for the chance to hook a fat girl! Some buddies and I used to go to lake leon this time of year and camp for a week after finals. It was always a blast. I think Athens has a great fishery and camping so that's a huge plus! The comradery is probably just as important as the fishing.

Politicians, baseball players, high-powered corporate CEO's they all seem to eventually let us down. Nature, however, does not. Look to her for inspiration and you will learn the secrets to living a good life. The most Important lesson it would seem is to make sure you spend as much time fishing as anything else.

Athens and/or Fork. You could fish both, they're not far from each other.

You guys should just go to Ivie and save on the trip. Guys are really catching them out there in the last 2 weeks. Almost every weekend someone is weighing a DD. If you're dead set on coming out East, as has been said, Athens and Fork will both give up some fish to you guys, and both have plenty of SALs swimming around in them.
