One big advantage to a wider spool reel is that your retrieve speed will be more consistent than throwing almost all the line off a smaller narrow spool. The Calcutta 400 is the king, the Lexa 300 does a good job for the money.

Daiwa Lexa 300 You'd be hard pressed to find a better Daiwa reel for swimbaits.

Tatula HD 200 has haevy duty gaering and a deeoper spool but still maintains a smaller profile than a lot of swimbait reels. Also has a longer handle. I have been using them since they came out and they can handle chunking larger baits, umbrella rigs or heavy punching rigs. They are built for this very reason. I love them.

I'm a Daiwa fan myself(all my baitcasters are daiwa). I have two 300 lexas and they're great for big baits, haven't had any problems and they get used daily. I'd have to say that the Luna would be the best though IMO. That's if you don't mind a round reel, I Know that's a deal breaker for some guys. I'll definitely be adding one of those to my arsenal of reels soon.
Swimbaits Only.
