Had an awesome day fishing Ray Roberts today. Got on a huge school of crappie and we were pulling em out nearly all day. Kept 6 slabs but the rest were in the 9" range. For the first time ever though I caught not just one but two strawberry perch. I wasn't even aware Ray bob had em. Cool lil fish though we'll see how they taste. Also learned the hard way it's near impossible to pull start an evinrude e-tec.

Glad you had some fun. Sorry about the motor not starting.

Warmouths and although the motor died it was comforting that two old fellas cruised up from the spot they had been fishing a majority of the day also and offered assistance. They called em brim. Said they are supposedly related to walleye.

I've heard them called goggle eyes too but strawberry perch has just always stuck mostly because of the huge red eyes during spawn in the males and the red markings.
