I am EXTREMELY new to the boating world and need some help on my idle and speed. I recently purchased a 2005 TZX190 with a Vmax 150. When the boat is not in gear the idle is like 1000 rpms and when i put it in gear to putt around it is really low also and I have to push on the pedal to get it to go a little faster. Is there an easy fix to get the RPM's up or do i have to take it to the dealer where i bought it? i would rather not as i have to drive an hour to get there so if anyone has any tips or help on how to adjust this easily for a newbie it would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Brett

Is it carb or fuel injected? They made both that year.

Sounds like a sync issue. You don't want to set the idle higher than 1000 or it will jerk when shifting.

Adjust the idle stop on the hot foot (pedal)
