Sorry I know this is a little off topic but I was wondering what yall are towing with? I'm in the market for a new used truck. My 07 king ranch 4x4 just ain't cutting it when it comes to towing. Pretty much it's gutless. I'm looking on spending around 20k give or take. So what do yall recommend. I will be pulling a heavy 20' pontoon

My 24 foot pontoon pulls fine behind a Chevrolet 1/2 ton. Have pulled it with a Suburban also. Used to pull it with an 01 8.1 liter 1 ton with Allison automatic . Didn't know it was there. I felt a lot better pulling with the 1 ton also. Lot better brakes

Toyota Sequio SUV, Vess pulls his pontoon with the same vehicle, lots of powers and have never spun tires on a ramp.

2014 Ram 1500 5.7L Hem pulls it like a champ much meter then my 05 ford lxt 5.4L

chemdawg and myself are using identical trucks but mine is a 2014 big horn ATL or whatever .. 5.7 hemi ... traded my 2012 chevy 5.3 for it and get 7 mpg better fuel mileage without trailer and 4.5 better mileage with. Lots of power too, back-up camera is dandy too... don't have to have help hooking my trailer up and mine has the ramboxes built into the back fenders ...those are nice. lots better than standard tool box mounted in back cause ya don't have to get in the bed to get stuff out. could go on and on... had no idea the dodge is this much better than chevy's

the only thing i wish i had what the back up cam next month I am in stalling init for 760$ i did not want all the other option that came with the truck to buy it with the back up cam like tiny said it has lots of power i can sizp down the hwy at 75-80 had hardly know it is there i f150 xlt with a 5.4l it struggled at times in traffic and on hills

I was looking into those as well but everyone complains about the gas mileage in them.

I pull mine with a 2014 GMC Sierra SLT Crew cab 4x4 and it pulls my boat fine eventhough I have a 7 inch suspension lift and 35 inch Toyo mud tires. I will say the new model GM trucks pull a lot better than the older models with the way the transmission is geared. No comparison from the older models to the new ones when it comes to pulling something.

2012 F-350 super duty 4x4 diesel, Boat weights just over 5,000 lbs and half the time I forget its back there.

I'm pulling my boats with 1 ton Chevy diesel don't even know it there.only way to go ,and very smooth .
