I'm heading to lake fork for the first time in a couple of weeks. Will it be post spawn or will the spawn still be going on? Any advice or tips from all you lake forkers out there?

the answer to your question is yes. still plenty of spawning going on in a couple weeks, and we are already having some post spawn action starting. bring some topwater baits, weightless plastics and some sight fishing stuff and you will get bit. there is some big fish being caught on swimbaits every day right now, might be a little tough for a first timer to figure the swim bait deal out though. experiment with different top waters and weightless plastics and you'll stay entertained.

Even if you don't catch anything, still great to be on fork. I suggest going during the week.
