right smack dab in the forehead with a 4 oz sinker full bore. lots of ya'll know I don't cast like most folks ... I try to get as far away from the boat as possible with my 7 and 7.5 ft rods .. most of the time hitting about 80 yds away and some of my rods will cast around 120 yds. today we caught over 600 lbs of fish and the previous two trips was 500 and 550lbs ... the unique thing about today was I've hit my first person with a sinker .... myself ... the sinker hit the rod behind me that was in one of the rod holder enough that it altered the trajectory and came around and smacked me in the forehead ... saw stars and got be a great big ole punk knot on my forehead now .... along with a fine headache. hit me so hard that it broke the 50 lb test leader the sinker was fastened to as well... broke right in my sinker loop. Don't try this at home cause I'm an experienced professional. hahaha
I'm not proud of the following story... when I was 13 my dad took me on a guided striper trip at texoma. We were throwing those huge top water lures with three big treble hooks on em. I kept setting the hook as soon as I saw the fish blow up on the top and a few times the lure came flying back at the boat. Eventually it came flying at us and hit my dad right in the jugular. Amazingly it hardly bleed at all. The guide was freaking out. Lol. Long story short, we unscrewed the hook from the lure and proceeded to limiting out after another hour. Then drove back to Dallas to the ER where they safely removed the hook.
Lol my brother was hit in the eye by a 1 Oz when he was younger luckily he was fine. Then 3 years ago the family was fishing at a local lake in Waco and his father-in-law smacked him with a 2oz in the testicle...we knew he was OK when he finally laughed and asked my dad to kiss it and make it better haha.
