I went out yesterday morning and caught 10 keepers while wading the many grass beds. The males I caught hadn't been fanning and the females I caught had eggs but were in there early stages of development. In my opinion I believe that the spawn is late this year but will bet it will start soon.
If it has anything to do with fins, feathers, or fur im in

Hope you're right. . . Went out Sat morning, caught one nice 14" right off the bat on a brush pile in 16' of water, then nothing for the next two hours. Then the throttle linkage broke on my friend's motor and we limped back to the ramp.
Headed back out about 4:30 that afternoon, same thing, nothing shallow or brush piles anywhere from 15-21' deep. Finally caught 3 nice crappie just before dark and the storms rolled in. All I can say is the summer fishing might be very good.
