Keeping an eye on this post... fairly new to the area and Ive been fishing Nas, managed to find some fish including a couple 4+ pounders. I hear there is some monsters in there but I havent found them yet! Also, there never seem to be bass where I think they should be lol. Water temp was 70 about a week ago and I have yet to see any shallow pre-spawn/spawn activity, Im assuming I missed it by not looking in the right area of the lake?

Sorry i couldnt be any help.

I am working here with another crew and a couple of us have tried it after work. Found a few crappie but no bass so far. I have see some in the reeds. I am not sure about the bass spawn. I think they have not spawned yet but cant say for sure. Thanks for the reply.

Pitching heavy jigs or worms into bulrushes or alligator weed all around the lake.

Rat L traps or Crankbait around all the rip rap. Where spring creek marina opens into the main lake. They cleared out a point for the drag boat races. Some 8-10' water in front of them rocks. There is a metal grate ramp where they load the drag boats back onto the trailers. Lots of Bulrushes and rocks hiding underwater too the left of that ramp. Can get into some good fish with with jitterbug or top waters along that bank.

South Concho Drive banks can be good at dusk or dawn.

Rip rap by pecan creek park is good. Lots of crappie and bass in there rite now. Get into them pretty good out of the kayak in them rocks.

That one's gonna cost you rite there wink See all those hiding spots along that bank. Underwater rite now.

Some of the biggest fish caught out of Nasworthy . Have been caught by the spillway. Water doesn't flow in from Twin Buttes anymore frown

That is the deepest spot you will find in Nasworthy. Rocks out there are in 20' of water.

How is the catfishing at Nasworthy?

I'm from a bit north of y'all in Big Spring and am looking for some holes not too far from home.

Tried Spring Creek in Knickerbocker and in Mertzon this month and had very little luck.

Im a little late to the post but they are biting. We have been having Saturday morning and thursday evening tournaments(sign up at three rivers marine at the lake) I have seen two limits of bass close to 18 pounds and several fish over 6-7 and one close to 9. If your not a bass guy I have been regularly limiting out on crappie and white bass with a few 8+lb hybrids mixed in.

Hate to dredge up a old post about a lake, bbbuuuutttt, I am fishing a tournament there next year in the summer and have never been there before. I may try and head that way this spring to llok around. With all the rain and such, has the lake came up any. This seems to be a gem of a lake with very little info at all on the net about it. I am a flipper by heart so i am looking forward to fishing a shallow lake with docks but is there any other patterns that hold there in the summer?

Go home at the end of your shift, no matter the cost!
