Ray Bob is up over 4 feet from 3 months ago with more on the way it looks like.
What's all this new muddy water gonna do for the cat fishing back in the creeks and flats.
I always caught lots in running water when it was muddy and on the rise but never fished a lake much that was muddy and on the rise.

You can sink the boat with eaters at the mouth of the creeks and in shallow northern (muddy) water on Roberts right now. I've also managed to pick up a half a dozen or more over 10 up to 25 pounds on each trip the past 3 weeks. Small, fresh bait is the ticket right now.

You can hammer the channel cats up in the creeks right now if that's your thing.

I took my step son and his buddy this morning. Got a 27 a 17 and 6 or so more over 10 pounds. Kept just under a limit for 3.5 gallons of fillet. Off the water by 1130. Bite slowed a little around 10. All fish in 5 feet or less.

Well the blues seemed to like those week old frozen perch fish.
Ended up with 8 keepers even after trashing another prop coming out of Buck Creek so I couldn't ever get on plane. Took me forever to get back into my spot up above 922 bridge. Biggest was almost a CPR but since I am low on freezer fish I decided to make it into fillets.
Ya'll don't hit me with the flame thrower too hard smile

Oh yeah they were shallow. 3 to 5 ft mostly. Tried some punch bait but had no takers.

Could have been better except for this. Also had to stop and help out two other guys having motor trouble. Probably lost a good hour and half of prime fishing time but it is what it is. Danged stumps.
