its not just kayaks, if your fishing on the lake, by boat yak or bank you have to learn to deal with snakes, ive had them get on my dads bass boat before.

As long as they are not venomous, I will let them on board for a little while. Those little frog-eaters need a break too.

no joke i was fishing in lake waco sunday and i was in some thick timber heard a loud swarming noise. I look to me left about 4' and saw a 20' hollow tress with 50 bees or more sitting on the opening i could tell the tree was full of them from the sound. I slowly paddled away, looked like trouble.

yes, I scoped a tree really well before I was going to tie off to it
reached up & grabbed a limb with a snake on top of the limb
I don't know who was more scared

When I see one I go the other way; seems to work out well.
