Can anyone offer advice on running this lake? From what I have read on here it sounds pretty tricky. Thx very much.

It's a pretty easy lake to run. The lower end is wide open until you get in the creeks. As you go toward the upper end you'll see a marked boat lane. Stay in it in that part of the lake. When you get to the end of it you can run the middle up to the bridge. Stay in the middle because there is timber on both sides.

For me it's idle only above the bridge.

You can run around the lower lake safely but once you get into the upper lake close enough to see the buoyed "boat lane" I would HIGHLY recommend you idle from here to the bridge and beyond. It's not that far and there is a lot more underwater in this area than it appears. Trust me.

Frank, as razorback stated lower end wide open, mid lake stay in between orange bouys, going north you can run from last set of bouys in a straight line to middle of turn going to bridge, after under bridge you have a little wiggle room but not much before idle only about 100 yards as long as you stay about middle.

Thanks so much guys, I greatly appreciate the help. I am just trying to not take a lower unit off. I see the beginning of the orange guide buoys for running the mid-lake when I look at Google Earth. I assume you can run wide open from the south end to the beginning of the buoys? When inside the buoys, do you guys run pretty wide open?

Also, does the better fishing tend to be at the upper end of the lake? Not looking for anything specific, just general info. Thx
