Wanted to share this with you all! Its been a few months since I got stationed here from Italy and my intro post on TFF. In that post I shared my then brand new PB 6.8 which also came out of Ivie.

My goal this year was to catch a dd bass now that I am finally somewhere that they live. I took some leave and decided to fish a few lakes hard and see what happens. First shot was on Amistad, hooked a giant in shallow water but couldnt turn her quick enough... she wrapped me up, shook her head and was gone just that fast. Back at Ivie this past Thurs and Fri, I was on fish again just not the size I was after so I switched depths, location, and lures until I was back to swimbaits on Fri. About an hour into the day, I got jack-hammered on a soft swimbait, it felt like the one. She broke the surface and it was her! Here she is, 11 Lbs 4.6 oz on an accu-cull scale. 28 long and 20 1/4 girth (give or take 1/4 in on both, took measurements quick so I didnt over handle her).

I know its a long story but this is nearly twice as big as anything I ever caught and the second greatest moment fishing for me next to my daughters first sight fished bass.

Also, almost as rewarding as catching her was releasing her alive and well. Shout out to Mark and Brad (didnt get the last names) for help with the video.

Met some great guys this week also. Dennis, Ronald, and Fred, it was great talking with yall if you're reading this!

*edit* accucull scale, not accurite.
