The motor, if it has one. If it leaks. Do all the accessories work? Boat bottom, is it damaged or been repaired. Trailer and fit of boat on trailer. I've seen too many problems with aluminum boats with bottom damage cause they don't fit on the trailer right.

look for a Good Eng compression, solid Transom,solid hull(no leakage),Good wiring and instrumentation,Good trailer and must have title for starters.

good stuff already. The following are a few major things, and some smaller ones that add up in a hurry if you have to replace them. check the transom trailer bunks, tires, bearings batteries (starting and trolling)-make sure they don't swap them out for old ones electric-bilge, gauges, lights floors-check for any soft spots
go on a sunny day and crawl all over that thing.

If it's a newer boat it want have any wood in it.If it's clean then you know it's been taken care of.I wouldn't buy a boat from a tourney guy.The newer boats motors get great gas mileage and use way less oil .Compresson ck and hrs.Personally I would not buy one with more than a 100 hrs.I have had 7 boats all different models ?The Nitro is the best boat for the best price.These are just my thoughts .Good luck.
