Quick question. I know the water level, but what about clarity and floating debris? Has the lake settled out yet from all the rising water. Want to go out sunday morning and fish the south side (mallard) of the lake for some catfish. Have not been on the lake in 2 years bc of water levels.

Thanks,
Mike

I haven't noticed any debris to speak of. The rising water levels have flooded the tall grass, so shallower than 6ft of water will have remnants of that.

Went out on Thursday to the north side and got hung up quite a bit on the grass beds. Not too much floating to get stuck on. Good luck, fresh shad did it for me.

Thanks guys. Went out yesterday. Got blown off the lake by 10AM. water was surprisingly clean and clear. Caught one 2 pound channel cat and a few more bites. Okay for not fishing there in two years.

FYI Little ridge ramp is in very good condition and the dock is usable.

I launched out of Little Ridge as well. Found the ramp quite usable. I should have left earlier, was back in a cove when the wind got up. With gusts of 25 mph was quite challenging getting the boat back and on the trailer by myself. Was quite surprised to see another bass boat launching when I left about 2:30pm

If your trying to get the spring time cat to big try chemdawg's. Garlic and cheese dough bait, don't take my word for it just as for some reviews. It really is a good all round bait that says on the hook and Well and can consti toy put cats in the boat
