And then it will start all over. Creek was finally down to a level where I would feel comfortable floating/wading it Tuesday. Starting raining again Wednesday. Predicting a total of 5 inches by tomorrow night. Creeks back up to over 9 feet and 1,000 CFM. flush_2
Worse than that, I live within 2 hours of Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn Lakes. I could even do a day trip if it would be dry on the weekends. No such luck.
Has anyone else had cabin fever in the spring? FML, lol. hammer

OK
I got my rant out. I can breath a little, and most of my hair is intact. Sure hope no one ticks me off at work next week! boxing

Thanks for listening. I hope I didn't take up to much of your time.

This had been my weekend to go with the boys to fly fish....BUT...here I am at home...pacing around waiting on these "bad" storms again. Really hard to swallow when you look out and it's HOT and SUNNY now.

Open your eyes & look within, are you satisfied with the life youre living.

No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life. Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs.

I cancelled my fishing trip planned for today because it was supposed to rain all day. Well, it didn't start until about an hour ago so I cancelled unnecessarily. I'm going tomorrow, come heck or high water.
(This rant should not be construed in any way to appear as though I'm complaining about rain. Heck knows we need it but why not during the week when I'm working for a change).

Copy and paste works well smile

I also feel my fishing hole will be blown out by dirty water tomorrow. But I will never complain about the rain we do not get enough of it here in North Texas. What I do complain about though is the cold fronts over the weekends.

LOL Yeah, in retrospect, I probably should have let go of the "v" key a *little* sooner. blush
The kind of rain we're getting really isn't helping drought conditions. Everything is saturated, so it all just runs of and goes into the Gulf. I'm expecting to hear about a freshwater fishkill in Sabine Lake and the Gulf any day, now.
Good news is, the predicted 5 inches has been pared down to *just* an inch and a half. Woohoo! lol.
If there is a couple hour break tomorrow, I know a pond. It's gonna get fished furiously. roflmao

Rain I don't mind. Lightening and 20 mile/hour winds, not so much, lol.

Looking at google maps, there's water all over the place, lol. I think the problem is going to be one of permission and access. That is a pretty heavily populated area.

Good luck!

Google maps has become my best friend since I moved to Texas! However you're right, there some good looking ponds available but permission is the key. I have to work in my social skills.

Anyway, I was at Lewisville lake this morning and for the first time I had a top water attack! BUT got
Off.
