Anyone following this. Took over 22lbs. of all spots for the lead yesterday. That's a big sack of spotted bass. I'm from there and when I've told people out here about 24/25 lb. bags of spots weighed in fishing local tournaments they act like i'm crazy.

The kid leading it is a stick out there in Alabama. Fished against him in some college tournaments. Good to see another former college angler getting a shot with some of the big boys.

Hated seeing the post from Mike Kernan that he miscalculated his fuel and ran out and was not able to weigh in his 12 1/2 lb bag.

I fished against the leader in college along with the Lee bros. It won't surprise me to see him in the Elites before too long

If I bring in a limit of spots off the lakes around NEOK I'm looking at maybe 8-9 pounds with a 2.5 pound kicker hahah. I couldn't imagine catching a 20 lb sack of those mean suckers

If people don't understand 25lb limit of spots it is because they are not aware of the difference between Kentucky and Coosa river spotted bass.

My partner caught a 4 pound spot on Fort Gibson in an Angler Choice Championship some years ago!

yeah, Dustin grew up fishing our club tournaments. He and his brother can flat out catch some big spots on the Coosa River system ( and apparently the alabama river as well) He filmed a show with Shaw Grigsby a couple years ago on the Warrior River in Tuscaloosa. They caught some giants. He's a good dude. Hopefully he'll pull it out.
