Did a slam last week in estes. Used a chart/silver rip-n-slash 90mm on trout. Plum/chsrt ttf trout killer on 1/8 Rockport rattler jig head for the Reds and picked up 3 founder in big cut on a carolina rigged 3/4oz egg 24" mono leader.

Several good options for wade or kayaking this time of year - tide phase will be the key.
With these rains, areas where there is structure and there's a good flow of saltwater on incoming tides should be productive.

Begging people for spots will never help you catch fish. Areas are public knowledge just buy a hook setter map. Understanding what moves the fish around an area is the difference between a fisherman and another Potlicker.
We never know where we're going to end up fishing the conditions change every day and you have to change with them. Water conditions, wind direction, bait and bird activity will always produce more than pulling up on a spot and not having a clue why the fish "aren't biting".

Understanding what moves the fish around ... That's a BIG part of the 'catching' part of fishing, no doubt about it;
... and the reason why I devoted quite a bit of time on both the WadeFish Rockport and Copano Bay DVD's to that very subject.

Ok here's exactly what I am talking about. Last time out trout were holding in a wide grass pass, caught our ten in twelve casts. I pity you and give you that spot and you show up today with high expectations
Oops the storms have it all stirred up the wind is wrong and now nobody's home. What do you do? If all you know are spots you're in trouble. Would you know where to look for the clean water and why? Some days they will make you earn every bite. Like today.

If you are looking for birds in Rockport to show signs of bait, don't waste your time. Try fishing the spoils along the intercoastal or light house. I would also fish the southside of the terminal. I wouldn't be casting further than about 10-15 feet from structure and braided line is a must.

Deal is that I've found new locations when conditions were not pristine that hold fish.
I share that knowledge in my DVD's.
greenmulletfunk, when Cedar Bayou was re-opened (1995) and working properly back in the mid to late 1990's - 2002 chasing birds in Copano Bay produced trout, shark and vermilion snapper - fun times ! If Cedar Bayou is maintained so that it can function properly, we'll see those days again in our back bays.

I pick a spot and make the fish come to me. Might take an hour, might take a year. But I'm in charge.
Wishin' I was fishin', and dreaming of beer
