Anyone have any experience with these boats here?
Looking to do a rebuild on one and add decking in, I have been googling all around and can not seem to find much information on these boats! Anything would be greatly appreciated!!

Had one years ago. I understand Tiny's Fiberglass is a good source for old Skeeter stuff.

I will look into them! I can not find anything about the Hawks online. I've searched. I will be completely rebuilding it(regardless of cost, personal attachment). I plan to take it apart and replace all the stingers and flooring and carpet. I will have a lot of work ahead of me!!
Anyone have any advice before I start this? Searching all over gathering information!

What do you want to know.they came in a 290 pro introduced in 1972 ,with front and rear elevated decks with storage and livewell, first boat skeeter made with factory grass type carpet, weiged in at 1100 lbs and was a little over 16 ft,I don't believe they had a HP rating ,mercury had a 140 then and evinrude a 135 which is what I had, mine was developed for Darryl Royal to endorse skeeter and when it didn't happen I bought it,it was burnt orange bottom and off white top,I had a roadmaster custom trailer,up until that time you bought a dilly 1400 or 1200 drive on trailer and adjusted it to your boat ,two lowrance 300's and a 24 lb motor guide with a omc stainless prop and power tilt, out the door it was a total of 3900.00,I remember Mr Pierce trying to sell Richland Hills marine on Basscat, and Ranger was just a startup, skeeter was the top boat at that time, then there was a 285 with a partial elevated front deck and rear live well available with stick or console steering, then there was a 265 with no elevated decks or live well available in stick or console and unlike the other the cap on the front sloped down at a slight angle, there was also another model of the hawk available as far back as 1970, not sure of its number, that had no cap at all,in 1974 skeeter developed a huge at the time 18 ft tunnel called the eagle 1,it was supposed to be for the really big lakes like toledo and Amistsad, colors available for all Skeeter's were 2 shades of green ,2 of blue, white red gold brown and red, most popular was two tone green, two tone blue brown and gold or white and one of the other colors, and they were made in Long view, other models were the metro k5 and k3,and the skeeter magnum,my longhorn special was the only one I ever knew of with different colors, hope this helps

Had a console with a 8 in. wide cover that ran to the rear for steering cable and wiring. had an airlock bottom with two rubber plugs in the drain sump. had about a 12in. deck in front. Best boat I have ever fished out of. Ran a 60 hp. evinrude, ran 34mph. Would buy a new one in a minute, if Skeeter would build it!!!!
I would agree with you , but then we would both be WRONG !!!!!

Check out Tinys Fiberglass out of Longview. This guy is the Skeeter go to guy. If it's ever said Skeeter on it, he knows it.

I had 1974 pro elevated decks 85hp evinrude. It was burnt orange hull off white cap white captain chairs and orange turf. It was heavy good fishin boat but kept fiberglass shop busy as hull was weak to say the least. Great design lousy execution on build quality of hull. Had 1985 kingfisher 157 after that much better boat. J D
