at the Lake Lewisville dock!!!! Only problem was I would have had to fillet all 15 or so to get as much meat as one decent sized 14" crappie. bang

Did get this nice one for dinner.

She was close to 14" and her eggs looked like they were getting close to being laid. Strange year indeed.

It has been a STRANGE year for spawning activity!

CONGRATS on catching some tho!

Care to take a guess on what I was using? I'll give ya a hint - Night Prowler and Emerald Shiner in the Mr. Fry from a certain bait manufacture. They are great baits and you should fish them sometime. Heck, you may know a gal.

I tried yesterday (Pier121) but did not even get a bite. Arrived at 9:20 AM and stayed a couple hours. I relieved a guy that started at before sun up, and only caught a catfish. Water was very cloudy, and lake level was 3 ft low. Will try again tomorrow.

Anybody fished up in Hickory Creek this year? I have struck out twice up there so far.

I can't let you give up that easy, I was at Lewisville yesterday and caught about 10 keepers the size of nice large mouths. I caught at least 100 dinks dark/light pink mo glos with a chart head had them going crazy

I've been going to my slip at Lewisville frequently. Catching double limits of fish from 4 to 6" with only one or two keepers in thee mix. Been doing that for more than a couple weeks now. I did see a guy come in and dock up with a limit of crappie. He had been drifting the humps between the dam and hidden cove. That's what he said anyway. He did offer to take me out and show me but, haven't seen him since.
