Going to look at this boat today. Looks clean but I've read a lot of negative reviews. Mainly about transom issues. The boat is cheap and looks well maintained by an older retired couple. I've read some good reviews as well and would like to get some input. It says it has a transom saver. Not sure what that is or of it helps.

Take it from someone who owned one. Save your money, there are much better options out there. For one the are light weight because the fiberglass is thin try looking at it in the dark and put a flashlight on the outside around the carpet seams. Wood transom and stringers etc. I had mine for close to ten years and didn't have any trouble with it but I knew not to push it. Also very lucky when I traded it in. Also FYI the transom saver is the aluminum brace that saddles the lower unit and rear roller on the trailer used when towing, keeps the motor from flopping up and down and putting stress on the transom.

Are they even still in Business?
I'd pass. If you are looking for an older boat, stick with the old heavy ones, like Ranger, Champion, Bass Cat, etc.
Easy enough to look for cracks in the transom. Stand on the motor lower unit and kind of bounce up and down while looking for cracks.

Put you money somewhere else. I had one and it was a piece of #*&^. I did not have transom issues but had a stress crack in the keel. The keel should be the strongest area. If you buy do not fish in the stumps. I did not look at the link but there was a time period where there were only a few boats that would even consider. I believe a previous poster listed them. Some boat brands had bad years and recovered and others just had bad ones.

Not quite as bad as a bayliner, but really close to the bottom of the barrel.
