Thank you. I saved it from a swimming pool. It was swimming around looking for a way out.

Good job. Those brown snakes eat the living hell out of the mice populations. They're one of the best snakes to have around.

I find newly born Texas brown snakes every year when I clean up leaves around my yard. Funny, I don't think I have ever seen momma or poppa hanging around. They usually don't get very large, eating a diet of mainly worms and insect larvae.
No nasty attitude, either, though an adult would likely act a little testy if cornered.
Great to let them go . . . so they don't go the way of the garter snakes and horny toads of my youth.

This one actually had a bad attitude. Coiled up and was striking after i set it down

This one actually had a bad attitude. Coiled up and was striking after i set it down It's a good scare tactic. Their mouths can't open wide enough to actually bite. But they will strike like crazy. Good save.

sorry,the only good snake is............ a live one so it can do its job and keep rats out. They are pretty useless if they're dead
