WTB 70+ mph bass boat with 10 to 17 years of depreciation in good condition. Looking for solid boat & motor with few issues that has been stored or parked out of the elements. Not interested in newer boats that have not yet depreciated. Ideal boat is a Bullet, Blazer, Basscat or something similar that can run 70mph and still be reasonably stable. PM preferred.

I'm not a tourney fisherman generally speaking. But when I go to the lake, I like to have fun.

Thanks for lookin',
Brian

I just sold my 10 year old basscat Cougar, it would run 72, with a 225 optimax. Great boat and motor. That's what I would recommend.

My 2008 Puma will run 70+ and is close to your 10 year depreciation requirement. Contact me for details if you are interested.

I've had both a Bass Cat and a Blazer. The blazer was lighter and faster but the Bass Cat had a more stable ride. North Texas lakes can be rough and the Bass Cat's handle them better while still being fast.

I appreciate that insight. I was wondering about that. I would rather not flip my boat! Something to consider.

Got a 93 javelin that will hit 66+ as is. Add a 3 blade prop and 6" jack plate and it'll get you there easily. $6k

Do yourself a favor and narrow your search to a Bullet. I have had several and if you get a 20XD with at least a 225 you will be starting out with an 80mph boat right off the bat. Buy most anything else and you will be chasing 70mph forever. If you want speed and fishability, go ahead and get a Bullet from the beginning and save yourself some time and dollars. They are pretty common and hit the classifieds here or on Craigslist regularly.

Thanks for the info HasBen. I look on Craigslist and TFF daily. I was about to drive to Houston for a Bullet hull, but a guy from North Carolina sealed it up. The ad was only a couple hours old and I was still beat.

I like Bullets. If anyone has a lead on one, please PM me.

That's a nice Gambler by the way. Thanks for sharing.
