Thinking about getting led bow lights for running at night. Was wanting to hear options of best way to mount them. Don't know if it would be better to mount it inside the rub rail, over or under the rub rail. I really don't wanna go widdling on the rubrail if I don't have to. Just looking for options really, also getting some lights for all the compartments and some for on the deck all from www.bluewaterled.com

I just put some on Monday. Looks good, plenty brite, not for bling, just to get the small pole out of the way. Just above the rail small hole in the rubber trim then silicone.

I put some cheaper ones off Amazon above my rub rail. My only caution for above the rub rail is mine are blinding if you're fishing in the dark with them on. Wish I had done the additional work and put them in or just under the rail.

I put mine under and I like where they are, but I have managed to rip two sets off due to coming down on the top of stumps

Ive installed mine in the rub rail, but I have also installed them above the rub rail. Its all depends on what they want.

If you need an leds strip light let me know (PM) or check out my Mobius Marine led FB page.
you can also find my post on the Trade thread. {Leds for you boat & trailer}

In the rub rail is better. This provides some protection for those little bumps we sometimes get getting too close to those nasty boat docks.
