I've got an opportunity to go to POC the 1st weekend of May. I will get to fish with a local guy but he doesn't fly fish. We will have a boat and will be wading also. Any ideas or suggestions of flies needed to possibly get my line jerked?

Make sure you have floating and intermediate line.. Use size 4 clousers.

I've been having luck this year on crab patterns, every redfish I've kept has been filled with them. Also there's been a huge hatch off tiny glass minnows, take a few crazy Charlies with you. If you're blind casting I'd go with a gurgler or some other sort of popper. Smaller flies have been the ticket this year. My crabs have been size 4, Charlies size 6 and 8 and gurglers size 6. I've had nothing but refusals on bigger flies. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I've got a box of closures packed. Eric, did you tie those or buy them somewhere?
