Went out with Billy Seaman to see if the sandbass are getting back on a post spawn pattern. After launching at Chambers Island and found out they changed protocol. Vehicles not towing a trailer supposed to park in the adjoining park. We hit multiple spots on the island and east bank with little luck. Finally found birds working mid lake . We caught a few sandbass and I had double hybrids on but 1 broke off and the other straightened my hook outand got away. Saw more birds working about 500 yards away and after sneaking over we hit the mother lode. A few 12" ers but a few 16"ers and a ton of 14" . It was what I thought was perfect weather. Light mist and cloud cover. A small amount of "happy shad " with large swirls . Great day on the water with a good guy.
