Like the post says, planning a trip in the next couple of months, need a place to stay with my family and my parents for a few days. Close to a decent ramp. Haven't been there since I was a kid so I don't have a dang clue as to where there is to stay or go that is fairly family friendly.

I have a place by Powell Park that has cabins and a lodge. Check out www.TheLastResortRayburn.com. Call me anytime to discuss.

You might want to consider renting the Backlash lodge from Jeff Buchanan. He's an ex Rayburn guide who has a real estate firm in Zavalla.

Rayburn country has condos you can rent. That's as close to everything you can get. Also jasper is right down the road if you or family wants to venture out.

Check out Powell Park. I has all that your looking for, right there. Cabins, ramp, and things for the kids. And a good place to eat also.

It sounds like your group would be a good fit for the Backlash Lodge.

I've stayed at Rayburn country. It's close to twin dikes and umphrey's pavillion. Great place to stay and outlets for charging your batteries.

Rayburn County area is nice as others have said. There are waterfront rent houses out on the peninsula off of Wingate Blvd. You can launch at the free ramp on Hwy 255 and beach your boat behind your house. You can rent jet skis, or a pontoon, for the kids at Sam Rayburn Marina.
I found a house there last summer on Homeaway.com

Thanks for all the responses. It's a good start and I'm sure we can find something at one of these places.

All the above are great places and Id stay at any of them. Provided Uncle Bill Fondren's place in Tiger Creek is booked. Otherwise, book Uncle Bill's. Just google his name. Dunno of a better place on Rayburn for a family reunion.
