My personal opinion, I believe there should be more series type things on YouTube. Brandon Palaniuk (BMP Fishing) has a lot of cool footage on YouTube. Just some straight fishing, no instructional things or tips, just footage of constant fishing. No commercials, No ads. I think here pretty soon, I would like to start my own series on YouTube. Like a 20min video of just fishing and fish talk every two weeks or so, from Reservoirs to small Private Lakes. I mean just throughout the video, talk patterns, tactics, and tackle. I think lots of people learn visually, if your like me I love just to watch myself fish or anyone who I can learn from. The camera don't lie, and I fix mistakes every time I watch myself fish.

How does a show like this pay the bills?

Not a plan to pay the bills. Just fishing on Camera per say. Im on the water around 4-5 times a week, why not turn my GoPros on and film a show and talk fishing? Im not scared of someone watching or heckling me. I feel like my knowledge of the game is as good as anyones. I think it would be awesome to get into and provide for people.

It would be super boring without some kind of production/editing, and that takes 10x as much time/work/energy than anyone realizes. After posting your first video you, head out one morning to your first spot and notice boats raping your spots all day long. Finally, come home after a long day or work/fishing and enjoy some TFF heckling. Do that for free a few times and then opine in the next "how to make a good bass fishing show."

There would be production and editing, ole speedy. You don't think any of your spots get fished ever? Yeah, if im bank beating Roberts some locals might know where im at? Big deal, its the same stuff everyone and their brother fishes. But I doubt someone is gonna really put in the time to drive around and mark spots they "assume" im fishing. This isn't gonna be on the Outdoor Channel, small viewing population I would imagine. As of now I have around 425 subscribers. Just something fun to mess around with. Feel free to make an appearance.

Another thing I think would be helpful to watchers is talking about why you chose a certain bait, even if its your confidence lure. I think Wilcox does a pretty decent job of that

Adobe Premiere Pro is a good editing software. you can do almost anything with it as long as you can figure it out. Basic editing and graphics and other effects are pretty easy to learn at first. I have tons of footage on my computer I just need to edit it and upload it. What I recommend is fish about 10 - 20 times (enough for 10-20 videos) to get good footage. then start editing the videos on your non fishing days. If you fish and edit on the same day it will get tiring really fast. Go Pro also has a good simple app for making videos. there's not much you can do on it but it is free and easy to know out a simple video in a few hours. Plus Im sure you know how fast gopro batteries go dead and cards fill up. I have a 32 gb card and could easily use 3 or 4 more. 4 batteries should last all days fishing. Take a lot of random scenery and animal, birds shots in my opinion that makes the video 100 times better. The hardest thing i found or have not found is good royalty free music that does not cost a ton of money and enough of it to fit every situation. Also you can start videotaping right now. if you see a cool eagle flying around or something else you could always use it in one of your videos. Making a fishing show is fun, of course a lot of work editing. When it is done right it is better than the professionals. One day I would love to make videos like Montana Wild

One of my pet peeves about fishing shows and videos is they typically show the angler at all times, but almost never show where they are throwing the bait. If they interspersed more panned-out views that capture the boat, where the angler is throwing, and proximity to the shore would be of great interest to many viewers, I'm pretty sure.
