Fished for about 3 hours yesterday from 9:30 to 12:30. Bite was really slow. Water temp 72 degrees, and the water was a little muddy, but not real bad. Fished nightcrawlers on bottom and maybe got 7 or 8 sunfish, 1 bass and 1 small catfish. I guess the water clarity is more important than I thought, plus the previous night storms may have sent them a little deeper temporarily ?

Thanks for the report "Vogey". thumb I have never had a good day fishing any of the river lakes while the water conditions were muddy. bang The best spot after a hard rain is over by the Faust Street Bridge. Water usually stays clear due to the heavy flow over the spill way. hmmm Also a lot fish feed in that area after a rain. Gonna try to hit Dunlap Friday. cheers

Side Note: All of my creek spots are not fish able. nuts Looks like several days before the water there clears up and the currents slow down. eeks

I have been a bass fisherman most of my life...old habits die hard. Probably should have given it a try, but have had so much amazing success fishing this way on the river in the past, thought if they weren't biting, maybe nothing would have worked...

Thanks for the report. Gonna have to wait and see if this latest weather system will effect the bite. Mcqueeney is still on the muddy to stain side as far as water cailrity.

Always enjoy the local reports. Looks like a chance for a thunder shower tonight. Forecast says Tomorrow we are going to get a SUPER SOAKING (2" to 4")! Looks like according to the weatherman we start drying up over the weekend. A good wet spring will make for a super year.
