By law, you are limited to a 25hp motor when hunting in Bayou Meto. Some folks have found a way around that by modifying a Tohatsu Mega. Tohatsu made what they called the 25 Mega in the early 90's which was a 25 hp motor with a restrictor plate. The restrictor plate can be easily removed and now that same motor is a 40 hp motor. To say it's absolutely insane is a bit of understatement.

The mega's were actually tuned when they were imported to Lake Area Marine. Only 168 if I remember correctly. However the Suzuki 3cyl and yamaha 3cyl are stout motors with modification. I'm trying to find an old yamaha 90hp for my 16' flatbottom

Never would have imagined they were young guns... Seriously, though, what were they thinking?

^ watcha mean man? Hahaha bass fishing isn't half the competition of duck hunting. That's the way of life in Bayou Meto. I've had to run hard to a blind one morning myself. The next morning we launched at 2:30 hahaha

Absolutely crazy, but I bet one of those boats cost 70 grand.

The guy sitting on the front of the boat is crazy. If he had been thrown out he would have been run over by five boats and props before anyone in the line behind him knew he was in the water.
