Of the original Joe Graves Texas Sidewinder Rods?

I have one that was for cranking. It was designed specifically for a certain crankbait that was super popular during the time. Maybe a "Stealth Shad"? Don't remember exactly. It's locked up in storage. Texas Sidewinder was my first sponsor when I was 16 years old!

I have two or three of them. Also have a couple from the gentleman he taught how to do them. Sorry forgot his name. As JP stated, Texas Sidewinder Rods was first owned by Joe Graves and his wife Mary. He had some medical issues having brain surgery in 2002 and shortly after sold the company to Kit Harrison over in East TX - Rayburn area. Kit continued the tradition of the spiral wrapped rods and was my first rod sponsor, I think I had over 30 of these rods at one time. Kit passed in November of 2009 after an illness, sold the company right before to a couple that I worked with briefly before they put the company up for sale. JP the rod you have pictured above, question is that the one that Elizabeth accidentally dropped overboard at Falcon that you were able to retrieve at the "candy wrapper" tree ??? Debra

I never owned a Graves rod, but I have Kit's and Randy's (last owner). They are my prize possessions. I was thinking about posting about it the other day. Kit had a pretty big following on here years ago.
I am currently reconditioning my cork handles so they will last forever.
As far as I know Randy still has the business up for sale. He learned he was highly allergic to the glues used. He is vacationing somewhere in the USA in his RV.
If anyone is ever interested in buying TSR let me know, I'm friends with him and keep in touch from time to time. I wish someone would bring it back!!

I have a custom spiral wrap rod called a Revolver rod. I can't remember who made it. It is a crank bait specific rod.
