I am heading to lake Fork to do a little crappie fishing Tuesday thru Thursday. Any tips on where to fish and what what jigs would work best. Not wanting anyone's honey holes or anything like that. Just some tips so I am not just running all over the lake. Thank you very much.

I've never fished Fork for crappie but I've always caught them along the rock rip rap of the dam on the lake I normally fish. Not sure if the same holds true for Fork or not. I know they will spawn right in those chunk rocks.

Anyone else?

Thank you Lord for the gifts in my life

Last report from the weekend was fish 5-10 feet of water. I would try mid lake coves with feeder creeks and hit the timber in that depth range. It sounds like everywhere else right now, very scattered fish so you will most likely have to work for them. Move a lot.

Thanks for the information. I have always just fished for bass and never tried crappie fishing to much. Now that my dad is getting pretty old he wants to just find a spot and relax and hope to catch a few for the freezer. Hopefully we can find a few.

What Esnow74 said, but on the move a lot while its right not move fast. I have been using small jigs and large jigs and doing well, think the crappie know the middle crappie jigs to well. Luck
