Took revenge on these at a nearby pond this morning. Frozen alive so they should be fresh for a while.
All on hand dug worms. 3 big worms equals 2 one gal bags. Forgot how much fun it is to yank these mean lil rascals out of the water on an ultra lite.
I'll be using a bigger rig when I hit the flats up in RayBob for them big kittys.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

Just curious, but what do you feed them? Bread?

If you're drifting them. . . Put your hook thru the mouth and out the top of the head and score each side of the perch about three times. I have a small float above the hook to keep the bait off the bottom. Drift. . . If you are not drifting, filet one side and get the juices flowing out of the bait and use it in shallow water right now. Big blues out there about to start moving into the creeks.

Is it possible to do something your whole life and still be an ameteur?

Those are all I use for cut bait. Fun to catch and stay on the hook better than shad as well. Caught many blue's with bluegills. Love them!

What if I soak them in a bit of shad oil before I put them on a hook?

I've always used dead red from team catfish. You could always try that with one rod and one without the shad oil and see which the fish prefer
