Well reports on Ray Roberts are gonna vary about as much as this lake varies every day!! Last week Was a pretty good week. But any report I give about last week is going to change because of the 2 ft the lake has come up since last night! These weeds are steadily becoming my friend! I ended up utilizing them most days last week. Senkos work pretty well if you like to fish slow. Flukes work well if you want to cover water fast. Most fish were very congregated in specific areas of the weeds. I honestly don't think they're spread out because of the new vegetation. They are just all stacked up in certain areas. Swim baits are starting up play a big role as well. Flipping timber is about the same as it usually is. You're gonna catch them on timber but it could be pretty slow until you find the right ditch or point. Bass Champs guys caught them pretty good for 270 teams. More teams usually makes it tough but it seems like there was a lot of limits weighed in. It will be good for the lake to get a break yesterday and today.
Be careful out there with all of this new water this week. Good luck guys!!
