I spend a good part of the day yesterday trying out a bunch of different boats at ACK's demo at Independence Park in Missouri City.

I narrowed it down to the Wilderness Systems Ride 115 or the Feel Free Lure 11.5. Both are very stable and track very well for me, despite the fack that they were shorter boats. The determining factor for me came down to the seat and the fact that one of them had a good bit of water come up through the scupper holes when I was standing.

With the Air Pro Max seat and the 500 lb rating, it was the Wilderness Systems Ride 115X Max that won out.

They had one in camo available at the Spring store, so I went and picked it up today. A Bending Branches Angler Ace paddle, an Astral Ronnie Fisher PFD, a couple of flush mount rod holders, and a couple of Scotty rod holders and mounts and I am pretty set.

My B-I-L works for Garmin, so I am going to get a pretty good discount on an Echomap 43DV.

All-in-all, I am super excited to hit the water. This Friday is my Friday off, so I plan on hitting some body of water and doing some fishing.

Awesome! You will enjoy the Ride I know I do. Wish I had the premium seat though

Congrats on the yak! I myself will be purchasing a ride 115. How much did you pay total for all that equipment.

With tax it came to just under $1900 (you get a 10% discount on accessories from ACK when you buy a WS yak). I could have saved a bit on the paddle and PFD, but, based on what I have read, it is kinda like optics for a firearm. Buy once, cry once, but enjoy them for a long time.

Let us know how you like it. I want a ride 115 to be my next boat.
