I have a Lowrance HDS 5 unit that just completely quit working on me last year. I turned it off, went to another spot and it would not come back on. It was on my front deck. I bought it used about a year prior. I have had a lot of bad luck with lowrance units over the years, so frustrated with it, I put the unit on the shelf in my garage where it has sat for over a year now. Is it possible that it could be repaired? When I have called lowrance about fixing other units before they simply told me to go buy another one even though I have been told by others that lowrance repaired their units.

That has happened to me 3 times. The first 2 times, it was in warranty and they replaced it. The last time, they only offered a discount on a refurbished one.

Lowrance has been more than fair to me. I had a hds10 quit working. On a Sunday practicing for a tournament. Called them Monday. Put my 10 in a overnight box. Sent my shipping info to them. And they mailed mine out. Had it for Tuesday evening

Part it out. I need a new bracket, as I shattered mine today.

Buddy of mine just had the same issue with his HDS 5...he contacted lowrance and they told him to send it in. After a few days they told him it was bad and they would offer him up to a touch 9(I think on size)for a really good deal.
