I am considering buying some lakefront property and have saved gps coordinates (waypoints) of the boundary markers and other landmarks. I would like to use these coordinates with Google maps or some other online mapping program so I can get a visual picture of the lot. This will be helpful in developing a plan of how I might be able to position the house I intend to build.

I know I could enter the waypoints into lowrance HDS unit, but I want to work on my computer and ideally use Google Maps with it's satellite view.

Have any of you ever done this? Any help would be appreciated.

You can use Google Earth and drop pins using latitude and longitude not sure if you have tried it.

Using google earth worked well. You can place pins and labels on the map using your coordinates.....as many as you want. It worked to outline the property, but could be used to post fishing spots. It's a bit complicated, just because it has a lot of features.
