Last weekend I caught my PB at 9 lbs 10 oz. I posted that sometime last week. This weekend was not much different. I was running all new areas Saturday and Sunday and we whacked em. Caught lots of 2-5 lb fish Saturday and then Sunday I got to go out with my good friend Fork Guide Greg West. His first fish this morning was around 8lbs (1st picture)We caught lots more in the 4-5 pound range (2-3rd picture). As we were fishing along Greg spotted a giant. She was on a bed with a male and after about ten casts I caught him and he was 3lbs. At this point we knew the female was worth the effort. I worked on her for almost an hour and after picking my bait up and dropping it a few times she finally engulfed it (last picture)We did not have a scale and couldn't run to get one because she was 23 3/4 inches but she was every bit of the fish I caught last week. Its a little bitter sweet because I'll never know what she weighed (I haven't landed a DD yet) but i released her to make some babies.

If you have not fished with Greg your missing out. He is one of the best guys I know and every time we go out he puts us on fish. I highly recommend anybody looking for a guide to give him a call.
