Where the heck are these slabs?!? I mainly bass fished yesterday but devoted a couple hours shallow trying to find them shallow! Caught one monster crappie and that's it! Have they even started moving up?

Sorry I haven't fished the Vine in a while. Where did you launch and how is the ramp?

I spent most of my time in twin crappie fishing! Maybe it isn't time yet! May still be a smidgen esrly! I just dropped 130 at bass pro on new Rod and baits... I'm ready!

I launched at dove w my 21ft skeeter and no problems at all! Only complaint is its flat so ur wet up to ur knees if by yourself! Twin is the other ramp and it's awesome! Not getting wet at all by yourself there!

Twin Cove has been slow slow. Which I heard is unusual for this time of the year

Not sure where they are. The docks have been slow this week, so I figured they are going shallow.

I spent 8 1/2 hours out there yesterday and 14 gals of gas and only got the cork pulled under one time and from the looks of the minnow it was probably a gar bite. I fished mostly along the banks back in the coves on both sides of the lake. Even tried slow trolling for a while in deeper water where I marked deep fish. I only saw one fish that had been caught, a sandie the guy said was at 22ft right on the bottom. My graph showed lots of fish down deep over on the north side and near nothing on the south side of the lake. Lots of large bait balls up along the dam, mid lake and McPherson slough. Bait balls hovering around 15-20 ft. This is 4th time I been skunked out there this year. Everyone I talked to on the lake yesterday had similar results. May have talked to one of ya'll. I was the lonesome old guy in the old 50hp Bass Tracker fish
I use Meadowmere since I can launch without getting my feet wet.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

Same results at Twin Coves last few days. Will try it again in the next day or two - in between the storms/rain. Not sure where they are, but water temp was 63 around the cove. Marked fish, but no takers. Fished all the timber in the cove.

Dove is okay... Just flat and you will get wet if you are by yourself! Twin Coves ramp is nice! I tried hard to make them shallow again yesterday but nada! Heck I only caught 3 bass after having an amazing day bass fishing on Thursday! That front screwed a lot of things up even though it was small! They just aren't there yet

I've been fishing Scott's landing for about a month now and constantly catch fish. A lot of females full of eggs and a lot of males that are darkening up nicely. Most are still being caught deep. 17 ft of water down to about 14 ft. A bad day out there over the last month had been 4 crappie but making up for that in Sand Bass which are a fun catch as well. Try a little deeper with some live minnows or a jig with a minnow on the tip.
