Who needs the most help/support in the Bass Fishing community? What segment needs the most help
(I'm looking for a group, organization, etc. for my lure company to donate time, money, and baits to)

Man. That's tough. I know that the groups I fish with are not in "need" of much. They'd take it, as they are greedy. Lol. I really would think that high school teams could use the most help. Most are extracurricular and are funded by parents and staff. Most are NOT funded or appropriated by their related districts. Most are helped through a volunteer network. I personally have no interactions with high school fishing teams, but I have been married to a educator for 26 years, and I make these comments based on seeing her (and my), money and time dedicated to school teams and events that are not UIL sanctioned teams and events.

So. My vote? Help the kids

Start with the high schools, with a plan in place to follow them and support them as they enter college. Something down the lines like a scholarship plan in place for the seniors.

MEEEE! No just kidding.....I have to agree its the HS teams. They are what is going to make this sport continue. Both my kids participate or have participated in all sorts of endeavors. Speaking from experience, the biggest commodity we ran short on was cash. If you've been around this sport for very long you know what it cost to get out there. A little extra financial support might make the difference between a kid getting to participate and not or maybe getting a practice run vs not getting one.

High school programs seem like a great segment to help out.

I don't know if there is anything like this or if the logistics would work out, but are there other youth organizations that really work to grow the next wave of bass anglers? I'm thinking of something younger than high school that isn't tournament related, but is focused on teaching younger kids to fish.

There are several High School programs out there. I am part of the Texas High School Bass Association and have contacts for other groups. If you decide this is where you would like to help ,then message me and let me know what part of the state you are in. It is possible you have local school that I can put you in touch with. If you want to help out a whole group than I can point you who to contact there as well.

Thanks
Ken

I agree....as a bass fishing club "coach" at our high school....I've noticed the majority of members are in dire need of tackle/boat captains.....I do the best I can, to help them out....but, I wish their high schools would help out as well. Being a "club" and not a team sport (sponsored by the school and boosters)....We/they get little support.....
