Since lavon is not producing, thought I would check out Lake Loserville. Not one deadgum bite. Tried minnows, jigs, shallow, deep, north of 720 don't bother..

That's awesome, it was a nice day anyway. Good job getting the kiddos out of the house.
Bluebird days after a cold front are always pretty but the crappie fish do not like them at all sometimes.

The blue cats would not have been bothered by it at all though.

go into the marinas and fish around the boat stalls. They are slowly moving in right now. The lakeview marina is a big crappie marina, lots of people bait their stalls out in there.

Is it possible to do something your whole life and still be an ameteur?

Join the club. I've crappie fished most of the spring and my freezer is chock full of...Striper. I've caught 4 crappie and had a nice fellow over at fork give me six that he could not clean at the place he was staying. Water temps at texoma have fallen 5 degrees in two weeks. I'm not sure what to do other than wait.

Actually, the fish gods just reminded me, we did have one bite, that big one that got away. I left the girls in the boat in about 4 foot of water, and went wader fishing the shallow up a creek.

I was about 60 yards from them, around a bend could not see them, but could hear them. Suddenly, I hear 2 sets of hurling screams. If it wasn't for the giggles that followed the screams, I would have been running back to my boat, so instead I just call them. Apparently, as the story goes, they laid back on to their back, had poles propped up, then one pole pulls over on top of them, that was scream set #1. They go to reel in the fish, they get it close to the boat and it jumps out the water, right in front of their face, and splashes them, this was scream set #2. The fish was huge, like OMG big, I did not see it, but based on what they told me and as loud as the scream was, I think probably an 8 lb LMB. That fish is still lurking, that first cove just NE of 720. Somebody need to go catch that monster fish!

Went Sunday morning in the marinas and caught 1 small crappie and 1 LMB. Going to try again this week but not sure the weather is going to participate.
