Just joined the group and i'm from Irving. Wanting to know if anyone has fished the trinity river off Loop 12 and 114 with any luck? I haven't found a ton of options when looking to fish that's close other than Joe Pool and haven't done well there either. Just looking for a good place to get me a big cat. I also dont have a boat but im willing to drive anywhere within DFW but would prefer somewhere local if anyone knows of a place. Thank you!

Lewisville isn't far from irving and much bigger than grapevine. I fish the west side of Lewisville lake and fish shallow right now. there is a park just north of the toll bridge on the west side. That would be a good place to start fishing from the bank close to foliage in the water. If you are willing to walk a little to get to the water, look into fishing near the mouth pecan creek.

Is it possible to do something your whole life and still be an ameteur?
