motor runs great wot but runs out of gas at idle. changed the primer bulb but no help. any suggestions

sounds more like an idle timing issue.. have ya tried squeezing tha bulb when it starts ta die? that will usually tell ya if its fuel related or not...

yes . but it empties the fuel filter so I think it's a fuel problem. maybe gary can help

It empties the fuel filter when you pump it? Bulb on backwards?

changed fuel lines and another bulb but still having same problem. guess I will put an electric fuel pump on it

is tha filter between tha bulb and tank or is it tha filter/separator between tha mech. pump and vst?

if its emptin' that filter tha 'electric pump ain't gonna do any good.. should be pressure pushin' fuel to that filter from tha mech pump and/or bulb.. hard ta say whats happin' ona computer.. tha "bulb" should put fuel to tha mech pump, fill tha filter and vst.. only place for it ta go is thru tha mech pump (bad diaphragm) into tha block with bulb doin' what its supposed ta do... justa guess. never heard or seen anything like that so i'll jus stay in tha truck..........gl with it.

ok fixed the problem. had a broke check valve in mech put so put a kit in it and tested and good so far
